Commercial Insurance Checklist


This checklist should be used annually approximately 60 days prior to the renewal of your commercial insurance policies so you can better budget your insurance costs. Consideration should be given to meeting face to face with your insurance representative, if possible, so you have a thorough understanding of the insurance policy terms, conditions and limitations. After all this is your business!

NOTE: This checklist is not, nor is it intended to be a complete list of the coverage’s offered by insurance providers. This checklist is a guide only and should be used as such. It is important you review your insurance policy with a licensed professional insurance agent to determine if you have adequate insurance at time of loss.

Declaration Page
The part of your policy that includes your name and address; the property that is being insured, its location and description; the policy period; the amount of insurance coverage and the applicable premiums.

General Liability Insurance
Insurance for what the policyholder is obligated to pay because of bodily injury or property damage caused to another person, except Auto & Professional Liability. Pricing is determined by gross sales, payroll, or area.

Automobile Insurance
The insurance covers losses to the insured's property and losses for which the insured is liable as a result of owning or operating an auto.
